Nancy Gill
Nancy's Scottsville love story began with a cello. Over twenty-five years ago, she arrived for lessons and, well, just never left. Turns out, the real melody was the community itself. She became besties with her teacher, the legendary Mary Hardy, and was right there as the Family Players music program morphed into the awesome SCAN. (Think of it as a superhero origin story, but with violins.)
Nancy's connection to SCAN runs deep. She didn't just volunteer; she was family. While building bonds throughout Scottsville, she also provided end-of-life care for Mary. That's not just commitment; that's pure, unadulterated heartstrings. So, yeah, SCAN's pretty special to her.
But wait, there's more! She's a history-making, first-female-Mayor kind of gal! And let's be real, she's got a soft spot for the trifecta of awesomeness: kids, dogs, and the elderly. If you want to see her eyes light up, just mention any of those. (Or maybe a really good cello solo.)
If you need something done, you call Nancy. Just don't get between her and a good cause, or a particularly curious hound, Jeff Buckingham.
