COPPER WIRE WRAPPING CLASSES
With Instructor Brynn Deakins-Hull
This class consisted of a series of three workshops. Each workshop covered the different gauges, hardness and metals of wire used in jewelry, a brief history of wire wrapping, and when it was first used. In addition, the tools used were discussed, and what was needed if you are just starting out in wire wrapping. Each workshop included unlimited guidance to each student as needed to reach the finished project and walk out with their newly created jewelry.
Wire Wrapping Workshop | Herringbone Weave Bracelet
An all levels workshop, no prior experience required! In this fun workshop you will learn the “Herringbone Weave” technique (colors of beads may very in the actual workshop). You will cut, file and weave multiple pieces of wire and beads while working them into individual finished “links’ that will be customized to the size of your wrist. Once your bracelet has reached your desired size, you will cut, file and form your clasp and lightly flatten it on the anvil to complete your Herringbone Weave Bracelet. This workshop will also teach you how to carefully use pliers, wire cutters, files and hammering techniques under the guidance of the teacher.

You will cut, file and twist your tree to your imagination as no two trees are alike. Once you have created your tree you will work your way up to the woven bail and cut the desired length of your cord for it to hang on and then cut, file and form your clasp and lightly flatten it on the anvil to complete your pendant. This workshop will also teach you how to carefully use pliers, wire cutters, files and hammering techniques under the guidance of the teacher.
