VOICES FROM THE LAND

LOCATION: SCAN Land
COST: $15 per class, $60 total
AGE: Youth 7-12
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is mostly an outdoor program. Students will walk in the woods, create art with nature’s gifts , and capture their creations through the art of photography. BUT MOST OF ALL — JUST HAVE FUN BEING OUTDOORS!
MATERIALS TO BRING: (Pertinent Materials List) Be prepared to be outdoors even if there is a light rain.
INSTRUCTIOR(S) BIO: Marilyn Smith, Jane Erwine, Janette Catlett, Marjie Giuliano, Judy Cahill are Virginia Master Naturalists and/or are trained tour guides at the Ivy Creek Natural Area. In addition, they are trained in Voices From the Land. Voices is a program that helps students explore and celebrate oral, written, and visual language within the frameworks of natural science, art, performance, and technology.
